Find somebody more for you. Distance yourself from him. Slowly if it's too hard to do. Get involved with activities, doesn't have to be dating another guy, maybe better that it isn't, actually. Hard when you reminisce and yet you're out with another guy. Don't do it, not good for you or him (a guy that did that once, not fun, you fall into counselor mode fast - or your case, the date would, they feel sorry for you). Catch up with friends, do things that make you glad to be the independent girl you really are. He's not a good match. He may have qualities you like, but you can be focusing on so many other things that enhance your life. And you know, awesome fun independent girl music totally helps get that independent girl attitude back. Easy to excuse things when you're around each other I know. Everyone wants to think that they're the exception, it doesn't work that way, honestly, most of the time we aren't. looks like he wanted a no-strings attached, feel-good relationship. draw boundaries.
