She and my friends have become let’s say closer… They were kissing alot tonight. She has also been drinking tonight too, but what is messed up, he was the one that wanted me to ask her out in the first place, yet there those two kissing. She is not calling it a relationship and yet he has just broke off his engagement. I am guessing they are trying to keep it from her brother. I think it may not last, but who knows.

I, being a girl, think you’re fine. I’ve heard of that rule between guys, but pretty much when a girl says she’s not going to date you, she’s quite honest and really will not date you. usually it’s pretty concrete. sometimes there are red flags, something you can’t change like history/past, sure attraction and chemistry, everything are key, but if there are some serious red flags i don’t care how you look or what degree or job you have, it’s not going to happen if she says so, it’s a respect thing, respecting yourself not to date a guy you don’t think is good enough for you. I’m not saying thats the case for the guy, but quite often there is a no compromise list.

girls love the guy to ask her out and if you don’t for the most part you’ll lose out on her. I don’t care what they say about girls being independent and things like that, nothing warms the heart more than being wanted. why is it that the girl can’t be asked out but it’s okay for him to find someone else? if he finds or starts going out with another girl would you still not date this one? do guys really get that much power? I was always curious.

I think you’re okay, but don’t jump. you have to give it time, that makes it okay. if neither have gotten together for several weeks, you’re pretty much okay. I don’t think it’s wrong. I think it’s a matter of timing.

the question is, do you think it might go somewhere between the two or you? even if not, I’m sure dating is fun in itself, who doesn’t like dating? it’s fun.

Listen to your gut, and when you don’t know what to do usually doing nothing and waiting it out until you get the nagging feeling there’s only one answer to it is a good way to go about it.

The fact that you wrote in about it tells me that you’re concerned. You deserve the best in love, life, happiness. What you can give to him should be exactly what you can receive from him, and more hopefully.

I can say be careful, I can say you should be fine, but you’re living it and there. If you feel strongly or it builds more, if you think you can fall in love with someone else and have an easier and more enjoyable life with a different type of guy, give yourself that. It’s about you. being in a relationship is about each other but until you find the right fit, it’s about you. Don’t lose you in all of this.
